We’ve officially launched the newest arm of the 3 Lakes Landscaping, LLC. family: 3 Lakes Landscape Supply, LLC.
For more than a decade, 3 Lakes Landscaping has delivered and installed landscaping and hardscaping materials to clients throughout the Plymouth, New Hampshire, area. Owner-operator Colby Lenentine recently saw an opportunity to expand that service into a retail store serving the general public as well as area contractors. Small engine repair, equipment sales and rentals and dock supplies and materials round out the services and products offered at the new 3 Lakes Landscape Supply location at 10 Hamilton Way on Tenney Mountain Highway in Plymouth.
“Even with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been a great time for us to move forward with 3 Lakes Landscape Supply,” said Colby. “We were able to soft-launch, if you will, experimenting with different products and offerings and listening to our customers’ needs.” Colby and his team built out the store themselves, designing it to provide space for small engine repair services, equipment sales and rentals and a physical “home” for 3 Lakes Docking, LLC, Colby’s joint venture with co-owner Josh Crowell.
Adjacent to the building is the 3 Lakes Landscape Supply stoneyard. “It’s always been a dream of mine to have a stoneyard,” noted Colby. “Most of our hardscaping projects include native, hand-picked stone. Now, we have a place to showcase and offer that stone and more to the public.” The Landscape Supply store also carries three varieties of mulch, loam, sand, gravel, various sizes of landscape rock, compost and other materials.
“Our goal for this summer is to safely serve as many customers as we can,” said Colby. “The retail store is currently open six days a week, but we’ll likely scale that down over the winter months.” Customers can call in orders for stone and other supplies; delivery services are available for an additional fee or customers can pick up the supplies.
The 3 Lakes small engine repair service operation moved from the 3 Lakes headquarters on Steel Drive to the new facility in May. Jake LePard, small engine repair specialist, works on a wide range of equipment for customers, including generators, chainsaws, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, weed whackers and snowblowers. He also offers blade sharpening and chain-making services. All small engine repair services appointments must be scheduled in advance. Customers looking to purchase new outdoor tools will find the Greenworks (battery-powered) and RedMax lines of power equipment.
“Next spring, we plan to be fully operational,” Colby said. “Since we couldn’t have a grand opening this year, we’ll celebrate big next year, probably around our first anniversary.”
